Sørfond funding for CHILDREN OF HONEY and SHOOTING STARS
Folk Film is thrilled to join two new projects with the support of Sørfond!
Children of Honey, directed by Jigar Ganatra, follows three young Hadza friends in Tanzania as they navigate the challenges of preserving their cultural heritage. Shooting Stars, directed by Parsa Ansari, explores identity, alienation and belonging in Iran through the imaginative lens of UFO sightings.
LANDSCAPING at KODE Bergen during Festspillene
From 29 May to 10 June 2026, Landscaping, a multi-screen video installation by artist and choreographer Eszter Salamon, will play at KODE's Permanenten as part of the Bergen International Festival.
Developed in collaboration with Carte Blanche, Norway's national contemporary dance company, the work features dancers filmed in the natural landscapes surrounding Bergen.
Following its world premiere in Lyon in 2025 and a presentation in Paris, the installation returns to the landscapes where it was originally filmed.
FIREFIGHTER GOATS plays at Nordisk Panorama
Firefighter Goats had its Swedish premiere at the 36th edition of Nordisk Panorama Film Festival as part of the New Nordic Voice competition.
LANDSCAPING at IRCAM Pompidou
From 20–28 September 2025, IRCAM–Centre Pompidou in Paris shows Landscaping by Eszter Salamon, as part of the Centre Pompidou’s Constellation programme.
LANDSCAPING has world premiere at La Biennale de Lyon
Landscaping, a multi-screen video installation by Eszter Salamon, celebrates its world premiere at the 21st Biennale de la Danse de Lyon, where it will play from 7–28 September 2025.
Directed by Eszter Salamon and developed with Carte Blanche, the work brings together dance, film and nature, exploring new ways for humans and landscapes to coexist.
